This interactive animation is part of the Pocketguide of time installative drawing project. This project is an inventory of the perception of time and the creation of memory, or the loss of memory as a tool to create a story or a history. Inventory of simple objects and elements that could be part of the story of anyone, because they are neutral. these elements are like words in a dictionary, with them it is possible to tell endless number of stories.
Here we only see screen-shots, the animation will be online soon.

the routine behaviors, even if much less complicated, consume less brain surface than the development of new schemes.

The hippocampus, deep in the cerebral cortex is located almost in the center of the brain. Next to it is the almond-shaped amygdala, a walnut-sized area, it is a double (one in each hemisphere). The hippocampus plays an important role in memory. The storage of memories. Presumably, memories are not stored permanently. The hippocampus is constantly exchanging information with the surface of the brain, to develop a consolidated memory trace. It is still unclear what exactly is a memory trace. Many things that we once learn, we are doing unconsciously. The ability that we can learn certain movements in a way that later we can do them unconsciously is called implicit memory - in contrast to explicit memory, which is consciously used. Implicit memory is often activated by the amygdala, at times when feelings are revealed. Seems easier recall emotional memories, as long ago learned formulas. This may be related to hormones. Because of the stress hormone, we remember the situations easier. The implicit and explicit memory can operate independently from each other. The hippocampus compared with other parts of the brain, needs more time to develop and consolidate all the nerve cells and outbound connections. In contrast, other regions seem to develop faster, including the amygdala, otherwise it couldn't be explained why the children learn to talk, or how they are going through a trauma that can affect them throughout their lives. Thus, the cortex, the hippocampus and amygdala are the most important centers of memory.
